In 1999, Hugo Jankowitz walked up a rickety, makeshift set of stairs on a rise above Nettleton Road. As he neared the top, he turned and was welcomed by a breathtaking view of Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, the 12 Apostles and the ocean. It dawned on him right then and there that this was the ideal place to build his dream house. He wanted something timeless, elegant and iconic; a hilltop residence with character.
